Dr. Ali Aldhaheri has over two decades of experience in business; founding, launching and managing several successful entities across the IT, finance, education, tourism and real estate sectors.
Dr Aldhaheri is an MBA graduate with distinction from the American University in Washington DC and more recently completed a PhD from Durham University. His thesis entitled, “The Relationship between the Levels of Cultural Intelligence and the Ability to Adapt Leadership Style Amongst Leaders in the Abu Dhabi Educational Sector”, led to valuable, first of its kind research findings, applicable to the region.
Not only a start-up visionary, Dr Aldhaheri also has the skills to lead the change to achieving sustainable growth in large organizations. He has been involved at a high level with government tourism and development strategy, MICE and education management, to name a few.
In addition to his role as Chairman of Liwa Education and Liwa Schools, Dr. Aldhaheri currently holds a number of key positions, including:

Previously he served as Managing Director of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company, as well as a member of the board for London ExCel, a member of the board for the UAE Red Crescent, and a member of the Executive Committee for Emirates Foundation. He also holds various committee positions for private and government entities alike.
Dr Gobran has been the founder and first Principal of Liwa International School since 1992 and has made many major contributions to the educational environment in the UAE and globally.
Her key roles have included member of the Founding Committee of Abu Dhabi University, member of the AdvancED Global Council in charge of evaluating educational institutions worldwide, USA; CEO of Kagan Arabian Region, USA; and a member of Abu Dhabi University’s Board of Directors.
Dr Gobran’s professional profile includes the role of Senior Assessor for the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abu Dhabi and a member of the Total Quality Committees at the Ministry of Education.
She also established the ISO 9001 quality system throughout Liwa International School and provided training to all personnel involved to ensure effective implementation.
Dr Gobran has extensive experience in the field of Education and has planned, organized and conducted internal, external, surveillance and follow-up audits for the effective implementation of Quality Assurance systems.
Kevin has worked internationally in education for over twenty years as a Government Advisor, Director, Senior Consultant and School Inspector in the UK, US, Middle East and Asia.
Kevin has provided quality assurance and advisory work for the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi and provided oversight of national level initiatives, as well as leading the design, development and implementation of a national Professional Development Curriculum for over 2300 teachers and 1000 school leaders.
Prior to this, Kevin led the start-up of a local and UK/US joint venture to build sustainable improvement in Abu Dhabi public schools on behalf of Abu Dhabi Education Council, meeting 95% of Key Performance Indicators against a target of 80% in less than 12 months.
In the UK, Kevin led the development of Strategic Partnerships between local Governments and schools in order to deliver self-sustaining school improvement services, as well as provide the educational leadership for the Government’s US$4.5 million research-based project to vision, design and implement new spaces in schools.
In the earlier part of his career, Kevin was a Leader in one of the UK’s top ten outstanding government schools and spent 3 years working for the Japanese Ministry of Education.
Kevin gained his post graduate certificate in education at the University of Cambridge and has a first-class joint honours degree in Mathematics and Economics. Kevin is also a qualified UK OFSTED inspector.

As a data-driven instructional leader committed to ensuring a world-class quality of teaching and learning, her past work has included the research, development and implementation of special programs for at-risk, under privileged, culturally diverse students and second language learners.
Her role within Liwa Education involves ensuring the highest level of curriculum delivery, assessments, benchmarking and student targets, in addition to overseeing the implementation of digital student-tracking platforms and the management of the Liwa Education assessment team to measure student’s learning against national and international standards.
Experienced in delivering successful strategies for maximizing workforce productivity, Walaa worked in private sector healthcare and local government, before joining Liwa Education in 2019.
Her experience and role within Liwa Education includes the disciplines of recruitment, staff training and development, performance management, benefits administration, ongoing legal compliance with federal laws and partnering with management teams to build a culture that values and promotes employee engagement.
Chantel is an experienced bilingual ( Arabic & English ) Business and Marketing manager with extensive global experience overseeing the performance and progress of the biggest Education entities within the Middle East.
Adept at using powerful research methods to assess company performance levels, and coordinate operations to help achieve maximum productivity.
An expert in Marketing and Sales with high managerial competencies. Accomplished leader, possessing strong communication and project management skills with in-depth knowledge of B2B, B2C digital and traditional marketing channels. Excellent communicator with strong customer service background along with ability to solve problems with efficacy. Career driven, ambitious, hardworking individual with marketing and communications experience in highly pressurized various roles.
Within her role in Liwa Education, Chantel is responsible for driving strategic marketing and enrollment objectives across departments and schools managed by LE. Chantel holds a BA in Education, as well as a BA in Hotel Management and Marketing Operations.
Since joining Liwa Education in 2003, Tareq has used his knowledge of IT service management, project management and facility management to lead the implementation of construction sites, facilities management and maintenance of all new and existing Liwa Education Schools. With over 20 years of experience in his field, Tareq has a strong background in managing projects in the education sectors involving facility management solutions and IT services.
